Sea and our shadow

Canon Powershot G3

I rarely update my blog since I create another web gallery in multiple.com. I really glad to invite all of my friend following this blog to visit my new site:

www.bhuminan.multiply.com

I still take portrait photo, and recently I love to crop my images to 1:1 format, square. As you seen in this post is my past photos taken about 3 years ago at Samui island, Thailand. I crop it to square format and adjust its tone to warm feeling.

Ps. Ridiculously, I initially want to have a good camera for traveling, so I spend money on them. Yet, when I have them, I have no time and enough money to journey as I wish. ^ ^

stroller at dusk

Ricoh GRD2, ISO800, 1/18s, f/2.4, 28mm.

Today, I finished my work early that gave me a chance to walk around and took my lovely gRD2 with me for the first time since I got DSLR camera last month. Ricoh GRD2 has small sensor, but it gives us great quality. Its portble size is really impressive to me every time I had it on street. Even though I forgot to bring 40mm., but with 28mm. I could see world wider than usual.

I took this picture without tripod. Because of its small size, I could take this photo without hand shaking at 1/18s. If I had't GRD2, I would upset when this scenery gone without record.

Retreat to nature

Canon 5D + 35mm. Carl Zeiss, ISO50, f4.0
Canon 5D + 35mm. Carl Zeiss, ISO50, f5.6

I have one week holiday during Songkran festival, one of my favorite festival in Thailand. Prior to travel, I heard bad news about riots in my neighborhood around Bangkok. I decided to go to any place that is peaceful and joyful. 200 Kms from Bangkok, Karnchanaburi, karn-cha-na-bu-ri, is my destination.

Above pictures were taken by my Canon5D.
Sometimes, we need a break from our busy life in city.
I recharge my energy by sleep all day, and not to forget to take pictures around.

Reflection...myself portrait

Canon 5D, Carl Zeiss 35 mm., ISO100, 1/60s, f/2

When I saw a big mirror, I love to ask one of my friends to stand next it so as to take a picture. One reason is because I want myself portrait picture posting as a photographer. Sincerely, most of my favorite portrait were taken from my own.

Morning running with the sun's shine

Canon 5D, Carl zeiss 35, Iso 50, 1/320s, f/2

I have no exercise for a long time since I have worked as a teacher in Thammasat University, Thailand. In retrospect, I regularly ran in the morning, or joined Yoga club in the evening.

This picture was taken from my new second hand DSLR, Canon 5D. I just sold my brand new Canon 50D, mint condition, and took Canon 5D, full frame and more abilities, from one of my friends. Canon 5D mark I is very popular now because of its fallen price more than three times of original price in 2006. Even though Canon stop its production line for 5D mark I, and start the new series of 5D mark II, a second hand of Canon 5D was still very intriguing to amateur or professional photographer. I quite very lucky that I could have a very good condition at reasonable price.

Another sunny day

Canon 50D, Carl zeiss 85, Iso 100, 1/8000s, f/4

Welcome sunny day. Bangkok presently is very hot. A lot of thick cloud gathering in the sky is very interesting. Some forms of them were unique and capture my attention to take their pictures. I carried Canon 50D with 85mm., Carl Zeiss, and took some pictures outside my office. At once, beyond my right vertical position, cloud was moving slowly until I notice a very nice form of it, heart. I suddenly took 2-3 photos of it, but its shape of heart changing swiftly.

Some said "opportunity around us", I added, "including LOVE also".

Night Market and Color of life

Time fly!!! Just aware that I forgot to enter my blog for a while. Sometime, walk of our life separated us from hobby. ; ) Yet, I try to manage my work, study, and taking photos.

I took these photos last month. Night markets are seen normally in Bangkok, the glory of night life and shopping. Last year I had a chance to visit Australia, Sydney and Melbourne. Day life was very impressive, but night life, for me, was very boring at there. Most shops close around 07.00 p.m. That was unfamiliar to my shopping habit. ^ ^

The Night market in my neighborhood open only Saturday evening from o5.oo p.m. to 12.oo p.m. The dominant products here were secondhand products, such as shoes, retro-item, cloth, motorcycle, or even decorating light.

It so sad that I never saw any secondhand film camera or other related camera selling at this market.

Even though I had a very busy on weekday, I try to manage my work finished in time. Consequently, I had free time to let them travel around in the city. We visited very nice garden, and took a lot of photos there.

Grand palace, one of the best well known palace in ASIA, was in our visited list. On very hot Sunday, we reached there about 01.00 pm. We had a great time there together. My little niece did not like to have photos, but I and my older sister tried to manage it. Sometimes, my niece seemed bored, and tired. Thanks to my sister who always encouraged and supported my niece to naturally act like a professional model.

Long time no publishing post!!!

Nikon FM2n + Carl Zeiss 35mm, f/2.0 @ My working place

How are you?
I want to hear news from all of my friends near by.

I did not publish any posts more than 15 days. My life was so busy, and I had not carry my GRD2 for a long time. Recently, I decided to buy another digital camera, Canon 50D. I love to take portrait and I want to fulfill the gap by adding more serious cameras, Nikon FM2n and the new one.

Firstly, I intend to use this blog as my Ricoh GRD2 place. I quite hesitate to post any pictures taken from other cameras. Yet, when reconsider it, I still miss my blog and all of my friends here. Consequently, I would like to post recent pictures taken from Nikon FM2n and Canon 50D.

I am thinking about my new blog's name, any recommendation is welcome.

The similarity in the difference

Ricoh GRD2, ISO80, 1/750s, f/2.4, 40mm. (B&W in PS3)

Thammasat University was established in 1934, or 75 years ago. There are thousands of alumni who graduated from here, and most of them made a great contribution to Thai society. When I received not only Bachelor degree in Journalist and mass communication, but also Master in marketing from this university. I am very proud when any alumni gain honor from his work. On the other hand, I was very upset if someone who especially graduated from here misbehave and affect to Thammasat University's reputation.

If Thammasat University was a man, it could be a very old man, 75 years old, who still pace forward to prove his strength day by day. The show must go on, like an old man who never stop walking and surviving.
